Step into a brand new, highly impactful leadership role where you will build and shape a dedicated curriculum delivery team from the ground up. As Deputy Head, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of our innovative adult learning and Sector Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAP). This is a unique opportunity to design responsive, high-quality provision that directly addresses local skills shortages, empowers adult learners, and supports regional employers, all while driving the growth of a dynamic and forward-thinking directorate.

Key requirements

• Inspiring leadership skills with a proven ability to build, manage, and motivate a new team of teaching and support staff within a Further Education or adult learning environment.

• A passion for designing and delivering agile, employer-led curriculum, including dynamic distance learning and face-to-face adult provision.

• A strong commitment to educational excellence, with the expertise to champion quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment.

• Solid operational knowledge of adult education funding streams to ensure delivery is both highly effective and fully compliant.

• A collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external stakeholders to translate local labour market needs into exciting educational opportunities.

• A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and Prevent duties, championing a supportive and inclusive culture for all adult learners.

• A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification, paired with a recognised teaching qualification and Level 2 in English and Mathematics.
