Class 1 HGV Driver - Days, Nights & Tramping

Looking for consistent Class 1 driving work with a well-established national transport business?

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers on behalf of our client based in Easton . We have immediate vacancies for Day Drivers, Night Drivers and Monday to Friday Tramper Drivers , offering regular ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

As part of a professional transport operation, you'll be responsible for delivering goods nationwide while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

We currently have opportunities for:

Day Drivers

• Start times between 04:00 - 07:00
• Finish your shift back at the Easton depot
• Monday to Friday with additional weekend shifts available

Night Drivers

• Start times between 16:00 - 20:00
• Finish your shift back at the Easton depot
• Regular ongoing work

Tramper Drivers

• Monday to Friday tramping
• Modern, well-maintained vehicles
• Regular routes with overnight allowances (where applicable)

What We're Looking For

We are looking for professional, reliable drivers who take pride in delivering a first-class service and maintaining high compliance standards.

Essential Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category CE) Licence
• Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible approach to start times and workloads
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills

Licence Criteria

• Maximum of 6 minor penalty points
• No DR, DD, CD or IN endorsements
• No serious driving convictions
