An exciting opportunity for a full time permanent Welsh language position to join our leading Criminology department. The Criminology department is 2nd in the UK for Teaching Quality (NSS 2025), Top 10 in the UK for career opportunities (Complete University Guide 2027) and the subject area rated 1st for Student Satisfaction in the Complete University Guide subject league tables in the (Complete University Guide, 2027) and 1st in the UK for Student Satisfaction (NSS 2025).
We seek to appoint an individual with vision and commitment to enhancing student experience through teaching and research excellence, who can contribute to the development of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University. The vacancy is for a Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The individual will deliver elements of teaching to students including lecturing, seminars, and personal tutorials. The post holder will have a commitment to working to a widening participation ethos. The ability to speak Welsh, leading on the development of the Welsh Language pathway and offer academic and pastoral support through the medium of Welsh as well as marking and providing feedback in Welsh is essential.
