Cancer Audit Clerk

Job summary
Do you have excellent administration skills, an eye for detail, ensuring completeness and compliance with the Trust data quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with good communication, time management and organisational skills to be part of our MDT team.

Main duties of the job
  • To ensure that quality data is collected for reporting externally for both Cancer Waiting Times, Cancer Outcomes Services Data Set and National Cancer Audits.
  • To undertake and participate in initial and any further training requirements relating to trust EPR system
  • To familiarise yourself with all the requirements for the collection of cancer data which form part of the national Cancer Outcomes Data Set (COSD) collection in line with NDRS (National Disease Registration Service)
  • To support the MDT Coordinator team and Clinicians with the data collection and entry of audit materials and information for mandatory, non-mandatory and external audits throughout the year
  • To support the MDT Coordinator team and Clinicians with the day-to-day management of clinical audit data

Essential
  • Previous experience of working within National Cancer Pathways
  • Communication with stakeholders across different clinical teams and specialties.
Desirable
  • Somerset Cancer Database
  • Knowledge of National Cancer Audits
Qualifications
Essential
  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent with experience of working in the NHS
Knowledge
Essential
  • oUse of core Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
Desirable
  • EPIC
