Cover Supervisor – Halifax

Protocol Education is seeking confident, reliable, and motivated Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals with strong behaviour management skills looking to gain valuable experience within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students remain engaged and complete assigned work.
• Provide support and guidance to pupils where appropriate.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or support setting.
• Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Be confident leading groups of students independently.
• Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism in a school environment.
• Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
