Portman Recruitment is building a bank of experienced Support Workers for temporary assignments across North Somerset.
You will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental-health needs, physical disabilities and other complex support requirements.
Your duties may include:
- Supporting personal care and medication
- Helping with meals and household tasks
- Encouraging independence and daily-living skills
- Supporting activities, appointments and community access
- Following individual care plans
- Providing reassurance during challenging situations
We are looking for reliable and compassionate Support Workers who are flexible, professional and able to adapt to the individual needs of each person.
Recent professional support-work or care experience is required. Experience with complex needs, autism, mental health, acquired brain injury or challenging behaviour would be beneficial.
Assignments may include day shifts, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights.
Due to the distance between some services, a full UK driving licence and access to transport are strongly preferred.
Applicants will require an enhanced DBS, satisfactory references, current mandatory care training and the right to work in the UK.
