Nurse Hysteroscopist | Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Gynaecology Service within the Women & Children’s Division as aBand 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist - Hysteroscopist.
• Perform independent outpatient hysteroscopy procedures, including diagnostic examinations and minor therapeutic interventions, in line with national BSGE-recognised standards.
• Assess, triage, and prioritise referralsto appropriate clinics or clinicians.
• Manage own caseload, including diagnosing, acting on results, initiating treatment per local/national guidelines, and arranging follow‑up.
• Provide specialist clinical advice and patient support, ensuring evidence‑based, compassionate, high-quality care.
• Discharge patients appropriatelyback to primary care with complete documentation. • Support the development, review, and implementation of clinical guidelines and care pathways for the hysteroscopy service.
• Contribute to audit, service improvement, patient experience feedback, and quality assurance.
• Act as a role model and clinical leader, supporting and teaching junior staff and students.
