This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in in oncology and having involvement in our new high profile Cancer Centre. Our department is well-recognized for its provision of specialist Oncology training. These posts do not have educational support for specialist training, but here are exciting educational opportunities,, including involvement in clinical trial research, audit, appraisal, and provision for study leave to be be taken.To be considered for this role, MRCP or equivalent is desirable as is oncology experience. Specific purpose of the the post:
The post postholder will, together with colleagues, be responsible for for the provision of Oncology services at at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust which would include:

- To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object ofensuring a high standard of patient care

- The post holder is required to follow Trust policies and procedures which are regularly updated
The post postholder will, together with colleagues, be responsible for for the provision of Oncology services at at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust which would include:
- Diagnosis and treatment of patients of the trust such as in hospitals, health centres or clinics or other premises as required.
- Continuing clinical responsibility for the patients in in your charge, allowing for all proper delegation to, and training of, your staff.
- The bulk of the role will be in in oncology outpatients or day unit.
- The postholder may participate in the hospital at at night cover and oncalls. They will be expected to carry the tumour phone during during working hours and take part in the tumour phone rota. They will also participate in ward based cover system approximately 1 in 8-10 weeks.
