Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator – Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Location: Meadowhill Care Home, Castleford Close, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 4AL

Salary: £12.71 per hour, plus 50p p/h weekend enhancement

Hours: 24 hours per week (including alternate weekends)

Shifts: 6 hours per day, shift times to be discussed at interview

Be part of an exciting new opportunity at Meadowhill Care Home, our recently opened, state-of-the-art luxury care home. As our part of our Activities and Wellbeing team, you’ll be at the heart of building a vibrant, engaging and inclusive environment for our residents.

Nestled in the heart of Borehamwood, Meadowhill Care Home combines modern design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Boasting 75 private rooms and luxurious communal spaces, Meadowhill is tailored to meet the unique needs of residents in a safe and peaceful environment.

As an Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will support in the design and implementation of a varied programme of events, activities and social opportunities tailored to our residents’ interests, abilities and preferences. You’ll play a key role in fostering a sense of community, ensuring residents live fulfilled and meaningful lives.

About the role:

• Support in the development, and implementation of a diverse activities schedule, including social, physical and cognitive activities
• Engage with residents to understand their interests and create activities that reflect their individuality
• Contribute to the organisation of events such as arts and crafts, fitness sessions, musical performances and outings
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities align with residents’ care plans
• Work within budgets and ensure activities comply with health and safety standards

About you:

• Previous experience working in the care sector
• A creative and enthusiastic personality with experience in planning and leading activities, ideally in a care or community setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents of all backgrounds
• Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
• A passion for making a positive impact and making a difference
