Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative lesson plans based on the national curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote student engagement and achievement
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to discussions on curriculum planning and student performance
• Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of science education and integrate new teaching strategies into lessons

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, preferably in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and build positive relationships
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Passion for science and a commitment to fostering students' curiosity and exploration in the subject
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
