Quality Inspector, Worksop

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a busy manufacturing business. Suitable for candidates with previous experience in goods inward inspection, final inspection, CMM operation, FAIR documentation, and working to ISO 9001 and AS9102 standards within an engineering or precision machining environment.

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have worked within a Quality Inspector, CMM Inspector or Quality Technician role with a background in manufacturing, machining or engineering.

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday / 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday / 7:30am – 12:30pm

Pay Rate:

• £27,027 per annum

Duties of a Quality Inspector:

• Carry out Goods Inwards and final Inspection using a range of measuring equipment
• Use CMM machinery and PC-DMIS software to inspect parts.
• Complete inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Support calibration activities and maintain records.
• Work with production teams to improve quality and resolve issues.
• Carry out investigations using 8D and 5 Why methods.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

Skills required of a Quality Inspector:

• Previous quality inspection experience within a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience using measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9102 standards.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
