Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

As an Apprentice Chef with Hungry Horse, your passion for all things food, and the desire to make the perfect dish every time, is what sets you apart. With a keen eye for maintaining the highest standards and thriving during a fast-paced service, you'll soon become an invaluable member of the kitchen team.

Amazing food, live sport, sun-drenched beer gardens and play areas for the kids: just a few things that make our Hungry Horse pubs so special. And with over 200 locations across the country, we've got sizzling steaks, to Sunday roasts and the perfect line-up of drinks to match. We know that coming to a pub's a treat. But it doesn't have to be a rare one. The goal behind our family pubs is to feed the whole gang for less.

As an Apprentice Chef, you will...

  • Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
  • Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
