Warehouse Operative

Location: Darlington Pay Rate: £14.58 per hour Weekly Pay (Every Friday)

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for several Warehouse Operatives on behalf of our client based in Darlington . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and fast-growing warehouse operation where no two days are the same. This role is a temporary to permanent role with a twelve week probation period.

Shift Pattern

• 5:00am start until finish
• Approximately 6 to 8 hours per shift , depending on business requirements
• 5 days out of 7
• Includes weekend working on a rotating basis:
  • 2 weekends working
  • 1 weekend off

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing incoming pallets
• Organising and maintaining warehouse inventory
• Carrying out quality control checks on incoming goods
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Operating warehouse equipment, including pump trucks
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Supporting with additional warehouse duties as required

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of warehouse processes and procedures
• Forklift certification would be advantageous but is not essential
