Locum Qualified Social Worker - Learning Disabilities and Autism Team - Walsall
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities and Autism Team in Walsall on a locum basis for 3 months. You will earn £28.40 hourly, working full-time from 09:00 to 17:30, 37 hours per week. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working with two days in the office each week. A driving licence is required for this position.

- Conduct strengths-based assessments to promote self-determination, independence, and empowerment.
- Co-produce care and support plans, including agreeing on financial contributions as needed.
- Review care and support plans, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with the principles of best value.
- Manage your workload while working with adults with care needs and their carers.
- Ensure needs are met and risks managed for the best outcomes, seeking guidance from colleagues and managers as necessary.
- Advocate for adults, ensuring their voices are heard, and provide additional advocacy support as needed.
- Develop good working relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records in line with Council policies and procedures.
- Engage in regular supervision and consultation, ensuring any significant issues are reported.
- Fulfill duties under the Care Act 2014, including various assessments and safeguarding enquiries, and work in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other statutory requirements.
- Preferably, have experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities. Requirements of the Social Worker: - Degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
