Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Wakefield (with travel to sites around Yorkshire and one day working from home)
Salary: up to £55,000 plus car allowance & excellent company benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial aspects of civils and streetworks projects, with involvement in commercial, industrial, retail, and education schemes 
- Oversee cost control, valuations, variations, and financial reporting across multiple live projects 
- Manage procurement activities, subcontractor packages, and supplier relationships 
- Monitor project budgets, track commercial performance, and identify risks, changes, and opportunities 
- Liaise with site teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support successful project delivery 
- Maintain accurate commercial records, cost reports, and contractual documentation

- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good understanding of construction processes and cost management
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proactive and motivated approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
