About the role

The successful candidate will lead the DT department while delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning across the subject.

The role will involve:

• Leading and developing the Design & Technology department

• Teaching DT across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on specialism

• Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment

• Supporting and mentoring members of the DT team

• Overseeing curriculum development and schemes of work

• Ensuring high standards of health and safety within workshops and practical areas

You will play a key role in shaping the direction of the department and ensuring students develop strong design, technical, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate

• Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology

• Experience teaching DT across KS3 and KS4
