US/UK Tax Senior Manager - London

Looking for more influence, greater autonomy and a genuine opportunity to shape a specialist US/UK Tax practice?

I'm working with a highly regarded, long-established independent US/UK tax boutique in North London that's looking to appoint a Senior Manager to join its leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced US/UK Tax Manager ready to step up, or an established Senior Manager looking for greater responsibility, interesting technical work and a clearer route towards Director.

You'll work closely with the Partners and Directors, overseeing complex international private client matters, developing a talented team and playing an important role in the continued growth of the practice.

The Opportunity

• Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, US expatriates and internationally mobile private clients

• Lead complex US/UK cross-border tax advisory projects, including international tax planning, expatriation and investment structures

• Provide technical oversight on matters involving PFICs, CFCs and other complex US/UK tax issues

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Managers, Seniors and junior tax professionals

• Build strong, long-term client relationships and act as a trusted adviser on complex international matters

• Work closely with Partners and Directors on technical strategy, practice development and business growth

• Contribute to business development, referrals and the continued expansion of the practice

• Take ownership of your team and client portfolio, with genuine autonomy and influence

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in US/UK private client tax within an accountancy or specialist tax practice

• ATT, CTA and/or IRS Enrolled Agent qualifications, with strong dual-handling expertise

• A strong technical background in US and UK personal taxation, including complex cross-border advisory work

• Experience managing and developing tax professionals, ideally including Seniors or Managers

• Confidence managing high-value client relationships and delivering technical advice

• Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to the growth of the practice

• A collaborative leadership style and the ambition to progress towards Director

You don't necessarily need to be operating at Senior Manager level already. If you're an experienced Manager with strong technical expertise and leadership potential, I'd be very happy to have a conversation.
