We are looking for a KS2 teacher in Bicester, Oxfordshire! This is an opportunity to work within an Outstanding primary school in Southeast of England. The school is looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care.

This is a wonderful and welcoming school in Bicester, Oxfordshire. It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from September 2024. The school has an Outstanding Ofsted rating. The school is happy to consider applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs. The school has a supportive culture and is an excellent place for both students and staff members.
Responsibilities of a KS2 teacher:
- As a KS2 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
- Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
- Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
- Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
- Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
KS2 Teacher requirements:
- QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
- Creative, imaginative, determined, resourceful and adaptable practitioner
- Passionate about learning
- Able to demonstrate a track record of success within a KS2 environment
- Able to communicate your passion to children and parents
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding practice in the classroom
