You will be responsible for usability testing, user risk analysis and the associated documentation needed for regulatory submissions.  You will make recommendations to improve product UX.  This role plays a key part in shaping safe, effective, and intuitive user experiences.You’ll work closely with Design, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams, helping bring user insights into product decisions.Responsibilities:Lead and deliver user research and usability testing across the product lifecyclePlan and run studies such as interviews, observational research, usability testing and surveysPerform task analysis and risk analysis to assess the safety and usability of medical devices (hardware and/or software)Define and align usability strategy with product and regulatory requirements.  Complete the necessary usability documentation for regulatory submissions.Make recommendations for UX design changes to improve safety and usabilityWork closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Clinical and Regulatory.  Act as the subject matter expert in usability within product municate insights clearly and advocate for user-centred designSupport and guide more junior team membersManage external research partners where neededWhat You’ll Bring:Experience in UX research, human factors or usability (typically 4+ years)Strong hands-on experience across a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to choose the right approachGood experience with formal, metrics-driven usability testingExperience working on complex products within a regulated, safety-critical industry.  Experience within healthcare and with regulated medical devices (hardware and/or software) is preferred.Understanding of usability standards and risk management (e.g. IEC 62366, ISO 14971, FDA guidelines)Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsInterest in working with complex products and improving complex workflowsWhat You’ll Get:In this role, you will work for a higher purpose; hope for everyone dealing with cancer, and for everyone regardless of where in the world, to have access to the best cancer care.
