English Teacher – Lead Core Literacy Improvements and Drive Engagement in GCSE English – Havering
A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Havering is seeking an experienced and dynamic Teacher of English with a strong focus on improving core literacy and language skills from January 2026.
- English Teacher required from January 2026

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5. The role includes planning engaging lessons that develop grammatical accuracy and analytical reading skills, with a focus on narrowing the attainment gap.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in English.
- Experience in a non-selective school setting is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable success in teaching GCSE English Language and Literature.
- Commitment to contributing to the school's reading intervention programme.
