CAM Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAM Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Newbury. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in CAM programming and manufacturing who is looking for a long-term position within an established engineering business.
CAM Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and processing customer PCB data for manufacture
- Using CAM software to prepare manufacturing data
- Reviewing Gerber files and engineering data
- Checking customer data and identifying any issues before production
- Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation
- Working closely with production and engineering teams
- Supporting the production process with technical queries
- Ensuring data is prepared accurately and to the required standards
- Identifying and resolving manufacturing issues
- Working to IPC standards and company procedures
CAM Engineer Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a CAM Engineer / CAM Technician role within electronics manufacturing
- Experience working with PCB manufacturing data
- Good understanding of Gerber files and PCB design/manufacturing processes
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience working to IPC standards would be beneficial
CAM Engineer Working Hours:
- Monday Thursday, 07:45 - 16:45
- Friday, 07:45-13:45
