Cardiovascular Clinical Research Fellow

Job summary
We are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven individual to support both our clinical cardiology service, and our successful cardiovascular research team. Half of the postholder's time will be spent supporting cardiovascular research and innovation activity within the Trust. This post is a 12-month Fixed Term contract to commence from 05/08/2026 until 03/08/2027Interested applicants must hold a full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice in the UK.Please note: We anticipate this to be a popular post, therefore this advert my close earlier than the advised closing date. Main duties of the job
At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust the Cardiology service is based at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals, with other in-patient medical specialities being based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The invasive service is based at Wycombe Hospital and a non-invasive service exists at both sites. There is in addition an in-reach consultation service at Stoke Mandeville.

The post holder will be expected to contribute with consultant and middle grade colleagues to the provision of a hospital-based specialist Cardiology service at both sites. This will include in-reach, ward rounds, catheter laboratory activity, cardiac imaging, other non-invasive tests and providing out-patient services for newly referred and follow up cardiology patients, with an on-call element in the Cardiac and Stroke Receiving Unit based at Wycombe Hospital.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential

• FULL Registration with the General Medical Council with a Licence to Practice in the UK
• Full MRCP (Part I, Part II and PACES)
• ALS Certificate in date OR ALS Certificate within 3 months of starting post

Other requirements

• Able to travel between sites and throughout Bucks, as required by the service

Experience
Essential

• Ability to demonstrate broad clinical skills in the management of all patients.
• 24 months general professional training experience at SHO level in general and acute medicine
• Experience working at IMT3 or ST3 level in the UK
