About the Role

As Head of RE, you will be responsible for leading the department with vision and dynamism. You will play a pivotal role in:

• Shaping the Department's Vision and Direction: Developing a stimulating and engaging RE curriculum across all key stages (KS3 – KS5) that aligns with the school's ethos and national curriculum requirements.
• Inspiring and Motivating Staff: Providing strong leadership and fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment where teachers can thrive.
• Delivering Exceptional RE Lessons: Igniting students' curiosity about different religions and philosophies through high-quality, engaging lessons.
• Raising Standards and Achieving Excellent Outcomes: Monitoring student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective strategies to ensure all students reach their full potential.
• Contributing to the Wider School Community: Leading RE clubs or trips and actively participating in school initiatives that enrich the lives of students.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in RE or a relevant subject with demonstrable experience teaching RE.
• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience teaching RE at a secondary school level.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a team of teachers.
• A strong track record of raising standards in RE and achieving excellent student outcomes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A passion for RE and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment for all students.
