Senior Manager
Are you an ambitious VAT professional looking to join a market-leading Financial Services tax practice and work on some of the most complex and high-profile projects in the sector?
A highly successful and growing Financial Services Indirect Tax team is seeking an experienced professional to support its continued expansion. The team advises a diverse client base across banking, asset management, insurance, fintech and broader financial services, delivering strategic VAT advice on challenging UK and international matters.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team of tax specialists, lawyers, economists and technology professionals advising clients on technically complex and commercially significant projects.
You will work directly with senior stakeholders, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex indirect tax landscape while supporting major transactions, business change programmes and advisory engagements.
The role offers significant client exposure, a strong platform for career progression and the opportunity to build relationships across a broad network of professionals and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Delivering technically robust and commercially focused VAT advice
* Managing the successful delivery of complex indirect tax projects
* Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new business
* Working closely with colleagues across multiple service lines and jurisdictions
* Supporting, coaching and developing junior team members
* Contributing to the growth and success of a high-performing practice
About You
* Strong UK VAT experience gained within professional services, industry, HMRC or a law firm
* ACA, CTA, legal qualification or equivalent technical expertise
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Collaborative and relationship-focused approach
* Financial Services experience is advantageous but not essential
