Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging French lessons to students at different skill levels
• Use a variety of teaching resources and methods to enhance students' language acquisition and cultural understanding
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing timely feedback and support as necessary
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes participation and respect among students
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum materials
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance and assessment data

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching French to primary and/or secondary school students
• Fluency in French, both spoken and written, as well as a strong command of English
• A relevant degree or teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor's in Education or a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for French
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies and research in language education
