Role Overview

We are seeking a Senio Business Analyst to join the Credit Technology team at TP ICAP.

This role is central to the ongoing evolution of our Credit platforms and technology estate. The successful candidate will work closely with brokers, desk assistants, Product Managers, Product Owners, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, define requirements and support the delivery of both strategic initiatives and day-to-day business priorities.

The role combines business analysis, problem solving and stakeholder engagement. Success requires a strong understanding of business workflows, curiosity to understand operational challenges, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams to deliver practical solutions.

Acting as a bridge between business users and technology teams, you will help translate business needs into clear requirements and support the delivery of technology solutions that improve user experience and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable analysing business processes, investigating issues, gathering requirements and contributing to the delivery of meaningful business and technology change.

Role Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Build and maintain an understanding of Credit business processes, trading workflows and operational requirements.
• Partner with brokers, desk assistants, Product Managers, Product Owners and technology teams to understand business priorities and opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows and clear delivery outcomes.
• Support Product Managers and Product Owners in shaping priorities, defining scope and refining requirements.
• Assist stakeholders in evaluating business value, risks and dependencies.
• Help identify underlying business needs and opportunities for process and technology improvement.

Business Support & Problem Solving

• Act as a key link between business users and technology teams.
• Investigate production issues, operational challenges and user feedback to help identify root causes and support resolution.
• Work closely with users to understand business processes, system usage and operational challenges.
• Analyse business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, automation and operational improvement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.

Delivery & Change

• Work closely with Product Owners, architects and engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure requirements are understood and solutions remain aligned to business objectives.
• Support testing, business readiness and release activities where required.
• Perform functional validation and regression testing for releases where appropriate.
• Help identify and track risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
• Contribute to successful delivery of both strategic initiatives and incremental business improvements.

Transformation

• Support the ongoing evolution of Credit platforms, workflows and operating models.
• Analyse current-state processes and contribute to future-state solution design.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, automation and improved user experience.
• Support initiatives that deliver measurable value to users and the business.
• Contribute to Credit Technology transformation initiatives and roadmap delivery.

Experience / Competences

Essential

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Business Manager or similar role within financial services, capital markets, trading or a technology-driven environment.
• Ability to analyse business problems and identify practical solutions.
• Experience gathering, documenting and communicating business requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across both business and technology teams.
• Experience investigating issues and supporting root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within Agile or iterative delivery environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria and process documentation.

Desired

• Experience within Credit markets, Fixed Income or electronic trading environments.
• Experience working directly with brokers, traders, desk assistants or front-office users.
• Understanding of trading workflows, market structure and electronic trading platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, risk or control-driven technology initiatives.
• Familiarity with product management practices, user story development and backlog management.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of technology delivery lifecycles, system integrations and data flows.
• Experience supporting business transformation or platform modernisation initiatives.
