Band 7 Social Worker - Channel Island

Band 7 Social Woker needed for a role in the Channel Islands. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to hold case management responsibility for a number of Children In Care.

Key Responsibilities 

• To hold a caseload of Children In Care where decisions have been made about permanence, ensuring appropriate care planning is in place and that the cases are reviewed within appropriate timescales.
• To case manage a number of care requirements which will be reviewed on an annual basis by CYCT.
• To undertake direct work with children and young people, including life story work.
• To maintain and support children in their placements, ensuring the child, their carers, parents and other professionals are consulted and kept informed.
• To attend court and CYCT, prepare reports and to represent Children and Family Community Services, both orally and in writing in an appropriate manner at all times.
