An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Humanities Teacher to join a specialist SEN provision in Sunderland on a full-time basis.
The school supports pupils aged 11–19 with Autism, SEMH needs, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties. Staff work within small class sizes to provide tailored support and personalised learning experiences.
The Role Includes:
- Teaching Humanities subjects across KS3 and KS4
- Adapting lessons to meet diverse SEN needs
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning
- Using creative teaching methods to encourage participation
- Managing behaviour through positive and restorative approaches
- Supporting pupils in developing social and emotional skills
The Ideal Applicant Will:
- Hold QTS/QTLS
- Have experience teaching within SEN or specialist settings
- Be passionate about inclusive education
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be resilient, empathetic and proactive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
