About the Role
As Project Safety Advisor you will work closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to ensure health, safety and wellbeing standards are upheld on-site. You will support the development, implementation and monitoring of H&S management systems in line with ISO 45001, lead accident investigations, and drive continuous improvement in safety culture. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication, audit and advisory skills, with the opportunity to play a key part in major infrastructure projects.

The key requirements for this Health & Safety Advisor role are:
- Develop strong working relationships with construction teams, clients and suppliers to ensure effective communication on H&S matters
- Support the implementation and maintenance of H&S management systems in line with contractual requirements and ISO 45001
- Lead inspections, audits and accident investigations, ensuring robust reporting and meaningful actions are delivered
- Monitor H&S performance and provide data analysis to drive improvements
- Promote a positive safety culture across the business and wider supply chain
- Attend meetings, workshops and forums, actively contributing to collaborative H&S initiatives

Experience required for this Health & Safety Advisor role are:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Valid IOSH membership
- Strong knowledge of OHSAS/ISO 45001 standards
- Experience advising on health and safety in infrastructure or construction environments
- Ability to deliver internal health and safety training courses
- Confident conducting site inspections, audits and standard accident investigations
- Strong communication and reporting skills

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Health & Safety Advisor role are:
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor on large infrastructure projects
- Experience supporting energy sector or renewable projects
- Success in other sectors - civils, highways, rail etc is welcome
- Knowledge of incident investigation models and methodologies
