Private Sector Housing Occupational Therapist - Fixed term 18 months

Would you like to be part of a dedicated team, committed to providing a first-class service, delivering needed adaptations to maintain disabled people's independence in their homes? This role requires you to travel to people's homes to assess their needs and make recommendations for necessary adaptations to enable them to live independently. You will be working within a team providing clinical advice on the design and delivery of works required to meet the client's needs. About you You are an organised, detail-orientated administrator who can manage multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure. You enjoy working with a wide range of people and have excellent communication skills. You are a people focused person able to empathise with people but also able to manage their expectations. With good communication skills you can clearly explain to clients what we can do for them and communicate their needs to the surveyors and others within the wider housing team as appropriate. You have: The ability to work independently and manage your workload.Are confident using databases, spreadsheets and digital systems.
Can build positive relationships with clients, team members, managers and external providers.

Neurodiversity Network About the role and the team You will play a pivotal role in assessing clients' needs and making recommendations regarding their needs. Part of the role will also be to provide advice on the suitability of properties where rehousing is being recommended. Working with our Housing Allocations team. We also receive referrals from childrens and adult's services. You will be able to provide support and advise to Housing Adaptation Surveyors in delivering the necessary adaptations. You will provide a mutual support system with our Housing OT. As part of this team your work will ensure we are able to assist in meeting the needs of a greater number of residents by providing needed adaptations.
