Lead Practice Nurse

Key Responsibilities Clinical Lead the delivery of nursing services Provide high-quality care for acute and long-term conditions Triage and prioritise urgent cases, initiating emergency care when required Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records Prescribe within competence (if qualified) Deliver care aligned with national and local guidelines Undertake procedures including: Cervical cytology Immunisations and vaccinations Wound care Venepuncture Blood pressure and spirometry monitoring Travel health consultations Health screening and lifestyle advice Teaching & Mentorship Support and mentor students and junior staff Managerial Act as a role model and team leader Lead on protocol development and service improvement Contribute to meetings, audits, and quality assurance initiatives Support performance targets and contractual requirements Professional Maintain NMC registration and CPD Comply with mandatory training requirements Work within the NMC Code and NHS guidelines Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion Handle sensitive information in line with GDPR
