Role Overview
Alloyed is seeking a hands-on shopfloor quality technician to join the quality function. As a Quality Technician you will play a crucial role in supporting production activities by conducting in-process quality checks, ensuring the product meets the requirements. You will be the shopfloor representative for the quality function, reporting quality issues to the wider team to ensure they can be resolved in a timely manner. The Quality Technician will work closely alongside the operations team, ensuring that quality control checks are conducted on time to keep the production flow.
This is an onsite role based at Abingdon Business Park, south of Oxford. Training will be provided where required.
Responsibilities
Conducting in process quality control checks during production, mainly visual inspection of parts and review of production records.
Raising nonconformance reports against product that does not meet the requirements.
Review reworked product to ensure it is conforming
Documenting variation within the production processes for future improvements.
Essential skills
Experience working in an engineering environment.
Organised and able to work independently, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Able to communicate effectively with other technicians, engineers and managers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Desired skills
Previous experience as a quality inspector or conducting quality control checks.
