Our Curriculum:

Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England, but is influenced by current global topics and nuances of the UAE, meeting the specific interests of our international community of children. ASCS is completely technology enabled, a Google certified school, ensuring all teachers and children are equipped with Chrome books. Our staff and children are fully conversant with technology within the classroom and home learning. Although subjects are taught discretely, our Secondary teaching takes a Design Thinking approach to learning, intended to engage learners in problem solving, critical thinking, making connections across the curriculum, and preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.

What we are looking for?

Teacher of English

Our forward thinking and progressive British Curriculum School in Dubai is looking for an ‘Outstanding’ Teachers of English, offering GCSE, and A Level courses, our school offers a truly international environment for our students, with a distinctly British flavour.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Has an undergraduate degree or major in English Literature/Language

• Has a PGCE in Secondary English

• Has experience of teaching in a British School/British Curriculum School

• Has experience of teaching AQA, Edexcel or equivalent British exam boards

• Has evidence of ‘Outstanding’ teaching practice, or the ability to become outstanding

• Is confident in planning engaging, student led lessons

• Is an expert in their subject of English and has the passion to inspire a love of learning in students

• Has the ability to use classroom technology to enrich the learning experience of your students

• Is an excellent team player, willing to contribute significantly to the department

• Is willing to make a contribution to the extra curricular life of the school
