- Pay Level: £27,432 per annum We are looking for a passionate Outreach Mentor who is ready to inspire, motivate and empower young people to overcome barriers and succeed. The role will be hybrid and will involve Outreach Mentor duties 3 days per week and onsite Youth Mentor duties 2 days per week. This is not a typical mentoring role. You will become a trusted mentor, role model, advocate and guide, helping young people develop the skills, resilience, and confidence they need to progress into education, employment, and independence. - Deliver one-to-one and small-group mentoring sessions often in the community or in the young persons home. - Help young people manage challenges and develop positive behaviours. - Support young people with their wellbeing. - Deliver a pre-agreed curriculum, including Functional Skills Maths & English, Art, Change Workshops, and Careers sessions. Work with young people from Pre-Entry Level to Level 2. - Create high-quality teaching materials and schemes of work that motivate and challenge each young person. Provide clear marking, feedback, and guidance. - Follow safeguarding, lone working and child protection procedures. - Input accurate information on internal systems such as CPOMS. - Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, de-escalate challenging situations, and promote positive behaviour.
