Are you a qualified actuary (or close to qualification) with strong knowledge of reinsurer treaties, pricing and UK Defined Benefit Pensions?

Then Star Actuarial is currently representing an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing life insurance and pensions provider in a highly responsible position, reporting to the Chief Actuary on a range of reinsurance matters.

Conducting reinsurance pricing activities, including discussions with reinsurers and negotiations on reinsurance terms, you will build and manage relationships with internal and external partners including reinsurance counterparties.

Liaising closely with the Chief Actuary, BPA Pricing team and Head of Reporting, you will also design and deploy capital efficient solutions that effectively manage key risks (longevity, lapse, mortality etc.).

In addition, you will implement and oversee operational aspects of reinsurance treaties, including collateral and administration arrangements and reporting solutions. 

With strong communication and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will possess knowledge of operational working of longevity swaps and flow treaties including administration and collateral.
