Quantity Surveyor Location: Head Office in Rochester with site visits as required Salary: around £65,000 to £75,000 - DOE Job Type: Permanent Sector: Civil Engineering / Utilities About the Company: This is an opportunity to join a well-established specialist subcontractor delivering utility infrastructure projects across the water sector. The business works on long-term framework agreements, supporting the delivery of essential water projects across the South East. About the Role: Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to manage your own workload while working closely with an experienced Commercial Manager. You'll be involved across a range of water infrastructure projects, supporting both live works and tender activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently and developing within a growing utilities business. The key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

• Prepare and submit monthly payment applications
• Draft and issue Early Warning Notices
• Price, submit and negotiate Compensation Events
• Support tender submissions, including pricing, take-offs and commercial documentation
• Value subcontractor accounts
• Maintain commercial records and project administration
• Attend commercial and site meetings with principal contractors
• Manage your own workload across multiple projects

Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within Civil Engineering or Utilities
• Working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
• Good Excel skills with the ability to manage commercial trackers
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

• Experience within the water sector
• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
• Experience supporting tender submissions
