Job description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support the day-to-day cleanliness and organisation of our bakehouse. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic working environment for the production team.
Responsibilities
- Washing bakery equipment, utensils, and tools
- Tray washing and maintaining clean baking equipment
- Dealing with deliveries of goods in, stock handling and stock rotation
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, surfaces, and floors
- Supporting proper ingredient storage and organisation
- Waste management, including disposal and recycling
- Ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at all times
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
- Flexible with working hours
- Available to work 5 days per week
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery, or cleaning role
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Experience using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Understanding of safe manual handling practices and COSHH
