Teacher of English - Independent School - Warwickshire

About the Role

As Teacher of English , you will teach across KS3–KS5 (depending on experience and timetable), delivering ambitious and well-structured lessons that develop confident readers, thoughtful critics and fluent writers. You will support pupils to:

• Read widely and respond to texts with depth and independence

• Write with clarity, structure and academic precision

• Develop confident oracy through discussion, debate and presentation

• Build strong exam technique through modelling, practice and feedback

The Department

English is a central subject within the school, with a strong focus on literature, language, writing and reading culture. The department is collaborative and well resourced, with shared planning and a commitment to high outcomes and wider enrichment such as theatre trips, reading programmes or writing opportunities.

• Contract: Full-time, permanent (or as agreed)

• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
