Head of Economics and Business Teacher Sought for Prestigious Independent Secondary School in Surrey

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision for the Economics and Business Department, ensuring the delivery of a rigorous and engaging curriculum that fosters critical thinking, analytical skills, and a passion for the subjects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Economics and Business Department, providing mentorship and support to colleagues.
• Develop and implement a challenging and innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all students, across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Ensure the effective delivery of teaching and learning, promoting high standards of academic achievement.
• Oversee the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment within the department.
• Contribute to the school's wider academic and co-curricular programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Significant experience teaching Economics and Business at the secondary level, including A-Level or equivalent.
• Proven leadership and management experience within an educational setting.
