SEN Support Worker – Chesterfield

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for caring, patient and dedicated SEN Support Workers to join supportive educational settings across Chesterfield.
The Role
As an SEN Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support to children and young people with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to help pupils feel safe, confident and able to achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with learning, communication and social development
- Helping children manage emotions and develop independence
- Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement
- Assisting pupils with their individual learning and support plans
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teachers, parents and other professionals
- Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment

Previous experience in SEN, education, care or support work is desirable but not essential , as full support can be provided for the right candidate.
