Senior Science Technician Opportunity | Immediate Start |...
An innovative secondary school in Lincolnshire is seeking a meticulous and tech-pro Senior Science Technician for a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP. This position is ideal for a candidate who wants to lead technical support for a high-performing Science department.
The School Environment Science is a "pioneering" subject at this school. With modern, high-spec laboratories, the school is a place of hard work and technical mastery. You will work in a safe, inspiring workplace where technical specialists are respected as valued peers and provided with the freedom to be truly innovative in their prep rooms.
Responsibilities
Lead the technician team to ensure the seamless delivery of practical lessons.
Oversee the department budget for chemical reagents and specialized apparatus.
Ensure total compliance with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
Provide technical training and guidance to junior technicians and early-career teachers.
Support major school-wide STEM festivals and enrichment projects.
Requirements
A degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology.
Significant experience as a school technician with a deep understanding of CLEAPSS.
Leadership qualities and the ability to manage a busy workload with precision.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary and Benefits
Full-time, permanent contract.
M1 – UPS3 equivalent professional scale + School Allowance.
