KS2 Teacher — Southwark — January 2026 start
Do you want to teach across Key Stage 2 in a dynamic Southwark primary from January 2026? We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join a collaborative phase on a Full-Time basis. The KS2 Teacher will take part in planning prior to January 2026, will attend induction during January 2026, and will be teaching from January 2026 as the KS2 Teacher.
About the KS2 Teacher role
This KS2 Teacher will be responsible for delivering ambitious curriculum sequences in reading, writing and maths, and for teaching foundation subjects with a clear focus on knowledge acquisition. The KS2 Teacher will design lessons that build long-term memory and retrieval practice, run targeted interventions and participate in moderation. From planning tasks before January 2026 to leadership conversations after January 2026, the KS2 Teacher will be central to phase improvement.
A week in the life of the KS2 Teacher
Mornings: the KS2 Teacher leads high-quality English and maths lessons that weave in vocabulary and reasoning. Afternoons: the KS2 Teacher runs project-based foundation subject work and small-group support. The KS2 Teacher will be expected to attend parents’ evenings, lead pupil progress meetings and contribute to CPD from January 2026.
Candidate profile — KS2 Teacher
We are looking for a KS2 Teacher with QTS, breadth across Key Stage 2 and a passion for curriculum design. The KS2 Teacher should be ready to prepare in advance of January 2026, attend induction in January 2026 and begin teaching in January 2026 as a Full-Time KS2 Teacher.
