Floor Layer – Cap & Cove

West Midlands / Staffordshire £900-£1000 p/week + fuel | Self-Employed / CIS Monday to Friday | 8:00am–4:00pm Long-Term, Ongoing Work AllPro Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established contractor for experienced Floor Layers with Cap & Cove experience to work across social housing properties throughout the Midlands. The role will involve carrying out flooring installations within occupied and void properties, with a particular focus on vinyl flooring, wet rooms, bathrooms and Cap & Cove systems. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Floor Layer looking for a consistent workload and long-term work across established social housing contracts. The Role
  • Install Cap & Cove vinyl flooring systems to a high standard
  • Carry out flooring installations within bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens and other areas
  • Install sheet vinyl and safety flooring
  • Form and install coved flooring to walls and upstands
  • Carry out accurate measuring, cutting, fitting and welding of vinyl flooring
  • Prepare subfloors prior to installation
  • Remove existing flooring and prepare surfaces for new installations
  • Complete floor repairs and remedial works
  • Work around sanitaryware, pipework, doorways and other fixtures to achieve a neat finish
  • Carry out flooring works within both occupied and void social housing properties
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Provide a professional service when working within tenants' homes
What We're Looking For
  • Experienced Floor Layer
  • Strong Cap & Cove experience is essential
  • Experience installing sheet vinyl and safety flooring
  • Experience preparing floors and using latex/self-levelling compounds
  • Previous experience working in wet rooms and bathrooms
  • Social housing or property maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own van and tools essential
