The school benefits from a dedicated Communication and Interaction Base, creating a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will work within the school's specialist Communication and Interaction Base, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of additional learning needs. The role will focus on promoting communication skills, encouraging positive social outcomes and providing targeted one-to-one support where required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with ALN, particularly Autism / ASD
• Experience supporting pupils within a Communication and Interaction Base or similar setting
• Previous one-to-one support experience, preferably within an educational environment
• A good understanding of strategies to promote communication and social development
• A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
