Level 3 IT Solutions Apprenticeship

£15.39k - £24.45k per annum

Summary

North Walsham High School are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Solutions Apprentice to join their Digital Team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support, network management, and audio/visual services while working towards a recognised qualification.

Wage

£15,392 to £24,454.04, depending on your age

National Minimum Wage

Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Maintain reliable internet and network connectivity across the Trust
  • Respond to IT helpdesk requests, troubleshooting issues both on-site and remotely
  • Install and configure hardware/software on workstations and devices
  • Set up and manage user accounts in Microsoft 365, MIS, and other systems
  • Maintain and contribute to an IT knowledge base for future problem-solving
  • Set up, check, and maintain laptops, iPads, printers, projectors, and AV equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance, replace consumables, and complete minor repairs
  • Keep accurate inventories and security mark equipment
  • Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring safe and appropriate use
  • Assist with cyber incident response and promote cyber safety in line with NCSC/DFE guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, RPA, and Copyright Licensing Authority regulations
  • Set up and operate AV equipment for assemblies, school events, and performances
  • Film, edit, and produce video content for internal and external use
  • Liaise with suppliers for AV equipment hire or purchase
  • Provide technical support for IT-related projects across the Trust.
  • Attend up to five scheduled evening events annually (e.g. parents’ evenings, performances)
  • Assist with examination material preparation and submission

**Please note, this role will involve working between 2 sites - North Walsham High School, NR28 9HZ and Millfield Primary, NR28 0ES**

  • Apply organisational policies and legislation in relation to security requirements, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Communicate using a variety of tools and approaches, adapting language for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Apply continuous professional development CPD to support their own learning, business needs and technical developments.

Training schedule

The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 IT Solutions Apprenticeship standard qualification. 

More training information

Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentice’s needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary.

Pre-employment checks.
