Senior Leader - Belonging, Inclusion & Behaviour (Maternity)

We are seeking to appoint a strong Senior Leader to cover a maternity position from January 2027 to December 2027.

The Head of School, Belonging, Inclusion and Behaviour holds strategic and operational responsibility for how students belong within the school community, particularly those whose needs require enhanced, specialist or alternative provision.

This role ensures that every student feels known, safe and supported, and that systems, structures and provision enable young people to engage positively with learning, behaviour expectations and school life.

The postholder will lead on inclusion, behaviour and alternative provision, ensure robust oversight of statutory processes, and work closely with families, staff and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for students, the school and the Trust.

The successful candidate will need to be an exemplary teacher who is willing to go the extra mile to support the opportunities and experiences that will be valued by our students. Some experience of Leadership will be required to develop the team and instill high quality learning opportunities both within the curriculum and beyond.

Attributes and Experience:

• Significant and successful experience teaching in a secondary school.

• Proven leadership experience at middle or senior level.

• Experience of leading improvement in student outcomes, learning or wellbeing.

• Experience of working effectively with All Groups, including SEND/SEN, Pupil Premium and EAL students.

• Experience of working with families and external agencies.

• A commitment to providing outstanding opportunities for all young people to develop the character and resilience they need to succeed.
