Pastoral Youth Worker - Slough
A highly regarded school in Slough are looking for a Pastoral Youth Worker to join their team of staff in September!
Your role as a Pastoral Youth Worker is to primarily be there to support the children their school day. Many of the children that attend this school have been identified as struggling with social, emotional and mental health issues. They are looking for an individual who will come in and help them find better ways to cope with their emotions while navigating their school work.
To be a successful Pastoral Youth Worker, you will need to be compassionate, keen to make a difference and also positive. These children need a resilient and positive person to uplift them every day and help facilitate a learning environment in which they feel comfortable and supported.
They are looking for someone who is eager to learn and get stuck in. those individuals who are looking to establish a career in psychology or education, or even those who are simply looking for a career change are encouraged to apply for this role.
Not only will you receive amazing hands-on experience, you will also learn the key points and skills needed to best support students with their mental health needs. These skills are amazing for any route you are looking to go down.
