Year 5 Teacher - Independent School - Luton - January...
An esteemed Independent School in Luton is seeking an exceptional Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead to join its vibrant upper Key Stage 2 team on a Full-Time basis from January 2026 . This prestigious Independent School is known for its academic excellence, innovative teaching, and nurturing ethos, and the successful Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping both the curriculum and pupils’ learning experiences.
The appointed Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead will start in January 2026 and be responsible for teaching a bright and curious Year 5 cohort, while also taking the lead for Mathematics across the school. This is a Full-Time Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead post and offers significant opportunities for professional development, leadership, and curriculum innovation. The successful candidate will begin planning and teaching from January 2026 , supporting pupils’ academic progression and their personal growth.
Key responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher / Maths Lead:
- Deliver engaging, creative, and challenging lessons in Year 5, promoting high standards and a love of learning.
- Lead the Mathematics curriculum across the school, mentoring colleagues and supporting the development of innovative teaching approaches.
- Assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning, interventions, and enrichment activities.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, resilience, and confidence.
- Liaise with parents and contribute to wider school events and extracurricular activities.
