Position Overview

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Geography curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role entails fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, exploration, and a deeper understanding of our planet and its diverse cultures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver captivating Geography lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
• Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, curiosity, and participation.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
• Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Geography education.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
