SEN Teaching Assistant - Making a Difference Every Day We are looking for a kind, patient and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children who have a range of additional needs, including SEMH, trauma, anxiety and autism. This role is about much more than supporting children with their education. It is about helping them feel safe, listened to, understood and confident, while providing the consistency and encouragement they need to succeed. We are looking for someone who can: Build strong, trusting relationships with children.
Provide calm and consistent support.
Understand and respond to individual emotional and behavioural needs.
Support children with anxiety, emotional regulation and social development.
Encourage engagement in learning and help children overcome barriers.
Recognise that every child has different needs, strengths and ways of learning.
Work as part of a supportive team to ensure each child receives the right care and support. Experience working with SEN, SEMH, autism, anxiety or children affected by trauma would be highly beneficial, but most importantly, we are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and genuinely wants to make a difference. If you are passionate about helping children feel valued, build confidence and achieve their potential, we would love to hear from you.
